Bringing Nepal & India to Chicago

Our menu is inspired by the unique flavors of Nepal and India, offering you a taste of both worlds. Every dish we serve is carefully prepared with fresh ingredients and traditional spices that capture the essence of these rich cultures. From hearty curries to fragrant rice dishes, each bite brings you closer to the mountains of Nepal.

The Little Sherpa is a Nepalese place that has a great combo of Nepalese and Indian dishes. This time we got the chicken tikka masala, pumpkin curry (so unique!), chana masala, and garlic naan. My mom doesn't do well with spicy, and the kitchen was so accommodating by making the chicken and chana masala mild but still brining a little pot of homemade spicy sauce (essentially chili oil) for those who wanted the extra kick. I've also had their chicken fried momo and meat thali and both are SO good. Pricing is pretty typical for Nepalese/Indian food with most main dishes being about $14-$17 and there's always been enough for leftovers. Definitely a good place to bring lots of people for sharing! There's also tons of street parking right outside. The owner's family are sherpas from Nepal which is pretty cool, too! I've met the owner and his sister and both are just so, so nice.

The Little Sherpa is a special little gem in Sauganash (right across the street from the Whole Foods at Cicero and Peterson). The space is thoughtfully decorated and very clean and the food is very delicious. A husband and wife team own the restaurant - he is very warm and provides friendly service; his wife cooks all the delicious meals in the back kitchen. The food is wonderfully seasoned, not greasy and very fresh. The meals are reasonably priced and the serving sizes generous. While they do take out, I highly encourage you to dine at the restaurant- you won't regret it.

The food here is so good. The service is wonderful too. We were so sad when the previous Nepalese/Indian restaurant in this space closed, because we loved ordering out from them. The Little Sherpa is just as good, but with an upgraded dine in space. We dined in for the first time this evening and will definitely be back. I highly recommend. Definitely a new neighborhood gem.

Delicious food!! Everything was good but highly recommend the butter chicken. We ate dinner here, which was a really nice setting for a casual Sunday night dinner. Definitely check it out

A true hidden gem! The food was very authentic and the service was amazing. If you are looking for a great Indian/Nepalese place, do stop by. We loved their Momos and Chicken Chilli!!!

I went here two days in a row! The food was great! I loved the Lamb Vindaloo, Keema (lamb) Samosa, and the Aloo Chop (potato patties). I really like the green chutney and the mango 🥭 Lassi! That Mango Lassi was sooooo good! The second time I went, I got the same thing because my mom wanted to try it, but for my order I thought I’d try something different. I usually like coconut so I thought I’d try the Lamb Madras, but it wasn’t for me. Will definitely be back!!!

We saw this little place as we drove down Cicero and were intrigued. We love Indian food, so, when date night rolled around, we decided to give The Little Sherpa a try. And boy are we glad we did!! We got the goat biriani, steamed chicken dumplings, butter chicken and garlic naan (all hot). It was all tender and delicious. The Little Sherpa might just be my new crave. The prices are very reasonable. The take-out packaging is tidy (no spills). Portions are generous. Please, do yourself a favor and give The Little Sherpa a shot. You won't regret it!
